Utah!!! :D

Flying into Utah...

(Left Salt Lake City) For anyone that doesn't know in Utah they have huge painted letters on the mountain for the initial of the University in that area, its pretty cool!

YAAAAAY
First stop..... Temple Square!

The Christus... This is my favourite part of temple square, i could sit in there all day!

The Conference Centre... Where alot of firesides and musical events are broadcast.... it is HUGE!

Sitting in the chair the prophet sits in when he watches different events! :)

We haven't forgotten the Jordan pose!!! ;)

Back to Temple Square to do baptisms!

This is Teddy, the Gardners dog. He's the cutest lil thing and hung out in our room alot and slept in our bed with us!! Super cute!

Smith & Edwards experience! Its a store that contains literally everything!!!!! We got gangsta hats for $1!! :D just for jokes!

Found these lil treasures!! Not sure what they were but they were way cool!!!

Crystal Hot Springs! Pools of naturally heated water from underground! Was lots of fun!
Took us about 1hr to get used to the pool that was 105 degrees and got really light headed after getting out because of how hot it was! But lovely and relaxing after my first experience driving in the US!

Just cruising on the trike Herb built from scratch!! Amazing and tons of fun!!!

A lil road trip down to Logan to meet more family and visit the Logan Temple... Looks like a castle!!

Trampoline fun!!!!!

THE HIKE THAT ALMOST KILLED US!!!!!
It all began on a Sat at about 1pm that we began the hike of doom!
The sun was shinning its brightest and the sky was as blue as ive ever seen it. There was a light breeze that made it a perfect day... but not for hiking up Perry Canyon!!
Being that Katie and I have lived in England for a long time we are used to being at sea level with lots of lovely oxygen but in Utah where you are already 4000ft above sea level we set off on this hike, it couldn't be that bad we thought... about 3500ft higher later Katie and I stopped breathing for moments along the journey to the top which gave us a lil scare as we both felt like we were going to pass out or throw up....

...mountain goat that looks like a bear...

... but the journey back down the mountain with lovely views, wind and oxygen blowing in our faces...

...we were alot happier being able to breathe!!!!!
Even tho we both thought like we were going to die, neither of us would change that day and loved the experience of it!!!!!!!!!

This is the place, where Brigham Young said this is where the Latter-Day Saints will settle!
And where we discovered my stilt skills!!!

Back to Temple Square again... we couldn't get enough of it!!

Day and night, waa waa... you know the song!

Our American look!!.... & funny faces for Kerry!!

The biggest rice crispy squares we've ever seen!!

Provo
Drove to iHOP (my second time driving in the US!!!!) :D sooooo good but very difficult straight after In n Out burgers!!!

Our BYU lesson experience in Victors class!!

Temple and view from the bottom of the Y!! After our hike experience Katie wouldn't go up the Y even though its easy!!!

Lunch date with this guy!! Ledgend!

Victor, Mele & Tisa

Back to Salt Lake... Us at Utah's state Fair

Yes there was a Rodeo!!! Which we found quite scary and became worried for these guys and thought it couldn't get worse after experiencing such a sport until they sent out lil kids on sheep!! We thought someone was going to die!! Was good fun tho!

Our lunch date with Colin and Jud!!
A 23" pizza that we almost finished with just 3pieces left!!

Just chillin on Juds Bentley (still can't believe it!) after our laughs downtown!
No we don't sound like those in Harry Potter!!! ;)

Our adventure to find our sister missionary friends in temple square to say goodbye but we were not lucky enough!!!

Found a room for Katie at the airport!!!! :D kept me laughing for ages!!

Washington DC!

From New York we got a bus to Washington DC, well we missed our bus (long story) but they kindly let us on the next one! We stayed with the Mooreheads who were very hospitable and had planned out everything for us to do, it was amazing. Katie and i loved it and have learnt alot about many different things!

(Us outside The Capital building. A very interesting and historic tour id advise going to see if ever in DC!)

This was by far our favourite... The Washington DC temple. We were very happy the whole time that we were able to go in and walk around the grounds. Its such a beautiful place!!!

We were also very happy to meet Obama, he was lovely... but very quiet!

We went shooting and it was AWESOME!!!!!!

Squirrels... squirrels in DC are CRAAZZYYY and like non other you have ever experienced! They follow you around until you feed them!... So we fed them Cheetos! This is one creeping up on us!!!

We found this in one of the malls!!!! It made me really sad!!
Miss all my Hollister buddies!!

The Cathedral which was very impressive and had a Darth Vader gargoyle!!

The changing of the guards at the unkown soilders tomb! It was a very humbling ceremony!

We went to see Abraham, he was pretty cool!!

The gun show!!!!! ..... Yes the middle one is almost the same hight as me!!!

Bye DC and Bye Alan and Kathleen, thank you so much for letting us stay and thank you for organising an amazing week we'l remember forever!! We love you lots!
